Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to ACES | ants frequently asked questions. These are questions you have about we do and should you wish to make a booking what you do.
We treat your ants based on two principles Firstly we TAILOR our treatments to the species of ant you have. Secondly we only use products with a TRANSFER property.
We use products that have a transfer property . These products transfer into the colony killing the Queen and destroying the nest.
Imagine a big green GO sign. We want the ants to come and go and transfer the chemicals into the colony. Once the Queen (s) are destroyed those nests can not come back.
YES. Our chemicals are keyed up to work on ants/insects and spiders only. They are considered to be LOW toxicity humans, their children and their pets.
Around 40-60 minutes on average. Sometimes longer depending on the situation and type of ant.
NO. We do not do an internal spray. No need to leave your home
We only use the products from reputable researched based companies that discovered and invented the chemicals. Mostly these are German or American companies e.g. Bayer.
We make sure these products are pet and child friendly
We understand that pest issues are urgent. We will get to you as soon as possible.
The treatments start working as early as four days on individual ants, but in terms of destroying the nest (s) we allow up to 6-8 weeks.
YES. When something is difficult, in fact seems impossible you need a silver bullet. You are covered by our silver bullet guarantee.
YES. We have been tested and certified by Protrains certificate in Urban Pest Control and Timber management. We also have a Science degree from Victoria University ( Wellington) majoring in Entomology .
Some of the treatments last for many months. Where are some only last three days. Each of the products used has a different length of action.
Actually the product with shortest time of action can be the most effective! This is because it is matched to the species of ant and immediately transfers to the Queen killing the colony
Alternatively if you have a product that last for a 1000 years but never transfers to the nest, then you will have ants for a 1000 years despite the long length of action!
